Kristin Fisher was hired by CNN in July 2021 as the station's Space and Defense Correspondent. As an official for the Space and Defense Department she covers everything starting from NASA to the recently formed Space Force as well as commercial space businesses and space tourism. Kristin is the daughter of NASA astronauts and an avid space fan was raised in the field. She served for five years in the position of White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy during the Biden and Trump Administrations. In addition to covering two presidential impeachment cases and the presidential campaign for 2020, as well as both administrations' efforts to curb the coronavirus epidemic, Kristin covered a lot of other topics.
